FOOX: Farmer in Thailand
Aug 21, 2009 8:24:00 AM
I heard this story just yesterday and thought it was worth reposting:
A farmer in Thailand found a horse.
The villagers said to him, "you are so lucky".
He said "mmmm maybe".
The next day the horse ran away.
The villagers said to him, "oh you are so unlucky".
He said "mmm maybe".
The next day the horse returned and brought with it 5 wild horses.
The villagers said to him "you are SO lucky".
He said, "mmmm maybe".
The next day his son broke his leg.
The villagers said to him "oh you are so unlucky".
He said, "mmmm maybe".
The next day the army came through and recruited all able bodied young men, leaving behind the son with the broken leg.
The villagers said to him, "you are so lucky".
He said, "mmmm maybe".

FOOX: Art Gnomes or Nazi Gnomes?
Aug 19, 2009 9:33:00 AM
According to Time, these Nazi saluting Gnomes are getting the creator in a LOT of hot water. Because of Germany's WWII past and the atrocities committed by Hitler and his Henchmen, German law has been very strict on prosecuting people interested in trading in Nazi artifacts, denying the Holocaust, or otherwise doing bad stuff that Nazis do (which I would assume would be illegal anyway). However, what happens when an artist (actually protesting Right wing policies) runs afoul of the very laws put in place to prevent another rise in Nazi practices? An interesting debate and one that any artist should be proud to bring into the spotlight. via this guy.

FOOX: Flatland
Aug 17, 2009 7:38:00 AM
Oh to dream of other dimensions, other realities, other portals, and an existence greater than ours. Our limited human perceptions are just that, limited. If we could but see just around the corner, just passed the end of our noses, and into the greater universal existence, I am sure the problems of today would be trivial in comparison to the mysteries to be uncovered. In short, I wish for this with all my might!
