FOOX: Feathers a la Cap de Le' David Foox (Part "Deux")
Dec 2, 2009 10:50:00 PM
Estatica Studio (ITALIA) published a full page on my art under the title "Curio". Below is the text.
"HEART, MIND, AND LUNGS. The Denver, Colorado artist David Foox wants to remind us how important it is to become an organ donor. But without sadness. So here are his puppets, all different, all brightly colored. There are healthy vital organs as well as an alcoholic's liver and a smoker's lungs. Sold in a dark box; you don't get to see what you get. You couldn't choose your donor either, after all... (www.foox-u.com)"

Always nice to feel the LOVE.
SURFACE Magazine 3 page spread....
I told you I had a 3 page spread in SURFACE and to all of you that emailed me saying you could not find the article, I forgot to mention SURFACE Asia :)
So here is the scanned images. You need Google Translate to see what the interview was about since it is in Mandarin, but the images also say a lot. (see backend of photoshoot on my flickr)
If you are the proud owner of "I Am Not A Toy" or "Industrious Beezness" please email me for a copy of SURFACE Magazine since it features these paintings and you may want a copy for posterity. :)

FOOX: Polaroids From China by David Foox
Nov 29, 2009 6:55:00 AM
I always had a dream to do a real indie Polaroid project for some art event, but then I went to China and before I could finish the project, I lost my first Polaroid camera (drunken incident) and then the second Polaroid camera I purchased at the market, I gave to my Chinese friend and good buddy Joe DK Choo cause he helped me with so much translation and pronunciation*.
But I did get the project done pretty close to complete and it tells a pretty story. Here's the 5 pages of pics (30 Polaroids in total) and quite a funny view of my experience there.
David Foox
And that folks, is China from the ground view of David Foox, l'artiste professionallllllleeeee. :)
* Joe is an exceptional photographer in his own right and I felt the tool was best left in his hands :)
